You don t need specialty cleaners for marble. All you need to do is apply a small amount of cleaner on the stains and area you want to clean and you are done. You need not scrub the marble surface to clean the stubborn stains. A single use of these acidic substances will eat into a marble countertop s surface and dull the stone.

Don t use abrasive cleaner or pads either because marble can be scratched. Use a clean cloth to wipe down the marble surface. The only cleaning agents you should use on a regular basis are hot water and a specially formulated marble cleaner. Never use vinegar on marble.

Castile soap is an incredibly versatile stone cleaner. Then rinse with water and dry with a soft towel. I recommend this marble granite cleaning spray or the green version is excellent and more environmentally friendly. If dust or other debris has accumulated a bit on your countertop or floor dilute a gentle dish soap in a little warm water and use a soft cloth to clean your marble surfaces.

Marble is a porous material that can be easily discolored or faded by the citrus liquids oil ink metal furniture etc. Use a soft cloth to gently dry the marble surface. Gently rub the baking soda into the marble with a soft damp cloth. Mild soap and hot water will do just fine.

A secret in knowing how to clean marble countertops. You do not want to scrub because that can damage the surface. Sprinkle a little baking soda onto the surface of the marble. It is very easy to use.

Buff dry with a cotton cloth or chamois.
